My local team. They won the Japan Series last year and are doing really well this year! Japanese fans are REALLY into baseball and have awesome group cheers.

my first trip

not much was going on in my town, since the schools are on summer vacation still. so, I took a long weekend and went to the Island of Shikoku, the smallest of the 4 major islands in Japan. I took an overnight boat from Kyushu, went sightseeing in the cities Matsuyama and Takamatsu, and went to various little islands to go swimming in the Inland Sea (a gorgeous island-studded sea between Shikoku and the main Island of Honshu). It was very beautiful and relaxing and a nice relief from the heat that all of Japan is suffering from. The photos below are from the trip, and generally go in order from bottom to top. Enjoy!
