There's a homeless man on 56th and 5th with 2 cats

They sit with him on a blanket on the sidewalk everday, with 2 little cat beds and tins of cat food. It's pretty amazing that they don't try to run away and aren't scared off by the midtown Manhattan rush-hour street traffic. It's kinda nice that the homeless man has that companionship. I should start giving him money. Or at least donating cat food.

The Miracle that is Lasik Eye Surgery

That's right. As of September 22nd, I no longer wear glasses or contacts. My vision went from 20/400 to 20/20 in 20 minutes. Pretty amazing. The surgery itself is uncomfortable and very odd, but not as bad as you'd think. Personally I think the dentist is worse. My recovery was fast. I wasn't supposed to use my eyes for the first few days, so I had a boring first weekend listening to books on tape and watching TV with my eyes closed. Then for a week after I had to wear sunglasses, even inside, which felt a little silly. But now I am sunglasses free and feeling good. yay!
